Still pissed about not having Cut Copy in the Top 50. But whatever…

Don’t be mad B. It’s just a silly little list. Of opinions, not facts.

  • joe.pollock said on Dec 12th, 2011

Now I have something to do over the holidays. Lots here to discover. Thanks.

    No Gem Club? Very disappointing!

  • nathan.lankford said on Dec 12th, 2011

Gem Club was up there, but you gotta keep in mind that we have 3(sometimes 4) people to please, so things get squeezed out. Sorry to let you down. It’d probably make a top 100.

OK, not mad, just disappointed. Would you at least give it 51st? Tips.

Nice list guys. For a contributor, I’m ashamed to say there’s a ton here I have never even heard of. Regardless, I have a few on my personal annual spin list to add:

A Winged Victory for the Sullen – s/t
    Apparat – The Devil’s Walk
City and Colour – Little Hell
Peter Broderick – Music for Confluence
Son Lux – We Are Rising

Good call on Civilian at #1. Jenn has that certain, um… je ne sais quoi.

nice to see a list not loaded with the expected P-fork endorsed discs.

  • nathan.lankford said on Dec 16th, 2011

Yeah. We’re not trying to be huge, but we’re definitely in love with things of our own liking, not just what we’re supposed to like. Thanks for the kind words.
