New Psych Jangler from Allah Las

A bit ago I brought you a sweet gem from Allah Las, a California group with an homage to the classic psychedelia of their home state.  Well, lucky for you, the group is nearing the release of their self-titled album, which comes out on September 18 via Innovative Leisure.  Again, the group is tossing back their sound, and that guitar sounds so incredible coming through the speakers.  I can’t really see a lot of modern bands giving the sound this kind of classicism, which proves to me that this group really has something special going on in their tunes.  It’s not a rehash; it’s a re-imagining and it sounds great.

After your post in April I got hooked. Picked up two vinyls at Amoeba’s and found out two of the band members had worked there. Love the vibrations of the Nick Waterhouse video. Would love to tour his vintage studio. Thanks for the introduction to a band I may never have known about otherwise. Can’t get enough of their sound. Your friends at Revolt of the Apes did a great indepth!

Yeah, I’m really looking forward to the full-length. I’m hoping there’s a bit of diversity that surprises me. Either way, I know I’ll be pleased with the outcome; I dig their nostalgic bent more than most. Thanks for the kind words and always checking in. I’ll keep working hard to bring the hits.
