Sioux Falls Have an Interesting Sound

sueI can’t place it exactly, but something about Sioux Falls sounds really familiar. I feel like I’ve heard it before, but I mean that in a good way. At times, it sounds like a less restrained Doug Martsch, as the band crashes the cymbals and the guitar chords billow through your speakers. I’d say it’s some sort of post-punk, but there’s a sensibility that makes the track immediately more accessible to listeners. I’m particularly enjoying the breakdown that wraps up the end of the track; there’s a huge hook waiting for you! Look for their album, Rot Forever, on February 19th of next year.

  • I like it, but I think that “accessible” thing you’re hearing is that it sounds slightly similar to Blink-182’s “Adam’s Song”.
