ACL Preview: Patrick Watson
Only a few more days away, and so many artists to talk about. I feel like we know a great deal about some of the large acts, so why not delve a bit more into a few of the lesser known peoples. For me, an artist you can’t miss is Patrick Watson. He’s going to be one of those artists that everyone who catches him will end up telling their friends about, and so the legend of Patrick is expected to begin at ACL this year. Mr. Watson is a Canadian musician who has been at it for some time, but his last two efforts Wooden Arms and Adventures in Your Own Backyard have won him heaps of praise in the states. For the most part, I’d describe it as quiet folk music, but it’s delicate, extremely so, making your listening experience all the more important. Please do what you must to catch Patrick at the Barton Springs Stage at 1:30 PM this Friday at Austin City Limits.
