For the last year, I’ve absolutely devoured everything this band has released. Their debut full length, Killing Time, is currently holding its own as my top record pick of the year (Out now on Slumberland Records). They’re heading to Austin on Thursday night (Buy tickets HERE) at Mohawk, so we caught up with the group before their trip into town to chat about various things. Thanks to Anton for hooking the interview up. Read More
It’s just a week away folks, and we’re here to share some responses from one of our favorite acts of 2011, Twerps. Their self-titled debut blew us away, making our top albums of the year. We’re also really excited that the band has found some time in their busy schedule to join us at our party. Read More
Sorry that we’re just now getting this one finished, but it takes us awhile to recover from all the good times at Fun x 3 Fest. This last interview is with one of our favorite bands of 2011, Cloud Nothings. We were fortunate enough to catch up with the band, and ask them a bunch of random questions, as we’re wont to do. Hope it’s informative. And I’m sorry I look so fat on camera.

Man it seems like Fun Fest was ages ago at this point and we’ve been lagging just a bit behind on our post festival coverage as far as interviews go. It probably has a lot to do with the complete lack of experience I have with video editing software… So yes, the cat is out of the bag, ATH decided to do some video interviews over the festival weekend for the very first time and we’re hoping you’ll enjoy this new component of the site. In the future, we’re hoping to begin incorporating more and more video with our interviews, lost in austin series, and more general videos featuring new music. We’re like so 2011 now. Without further ado, follow the jump for our Fun Fest VIDEO interview with Sean and Mike from We Were Promised Jetpacks.
Lucky for us, we were able to catch up with one of our favorites, Jim Ward, prior to his gig at Fun Fun Fun Fest this past weekend. Read on for a bit of info on Jim, as well as his future recordings with Sparta. Read More
As we get closer and closer that fateful date marking the beginning of our beloved Fun Fun Fun Fest, it’s time to get down to business. Let’s begin with a few interviews spotlighting some of our favorite bands playing the festival. Today we’ll bring you our very first Fun Fest interview focusing on Sub Pop band Memoryhouse. After the jump you’ll find interview questions from composer Evan Abeele.
Last weekend New Orleans based band Kindest Lines made a stop into Austin at the Mohawk playing shortly after indie buzz band Toro y Moi finished up their set outside. Unfortunately the ATH crew couldn’t make it to the show, but we were fortunate enough to have Jack from the band answer a few questions shortly after their Austin stop. After the jump you can find the full interview.
