Trail Of Dead @ Waterloo (2/17)

trailofdeadAustin’s finest …And You Will Know us by Trail of Dead are playing a sure to be rowdy Waterloo in-store on Tuesday.  Things are set to kick off around 5pm with all the free beer you can drink.  The show coincides with the release of the band’s latest LP Century of Self, which we reviewed yesterday.  If you’d like to know more about the band, check out a recent interview we did with the guys during Fun Fest.

Broken Spindles @ The Mohawk (2/16)

joelTo start off the week, Austin will be visited by Broken Spindles. The man behind the band is Joel Peteresen, better known for his participation in The Faint. Opening acts will be Loxsly and New Roman Times. The show kicks off at 8 PM at The Mohawk. Tickets are $8 at the door.

Car Stereo(Wars) @ Beauty Bar (2/14)

carstereoOur favorite resident DJ man Car Stereo(Wars) is bringing down the house with a special Valentine’s Day show at The Beauty Bar this Saturday night.  Doors for the dance party open up at 9pm.  Forget your silk panty rose and take your girl to the dance party!

Golden Bear @ Club Deville (2/13)

goldenbearThis Friday, Golden Bear will be releasing their newest EP, Everest,  at Club Deville.  Not only will the locals be treated to the great tunes of Golden Bear, but they will also get to witness one of our favorite acts, as The Great Nostalgic will also be opening the evening’s festivities.  Rumor has it that Pink Nasty will be on hand to play a set as well.  Show begins around 9, so get there and have fun.

ATH Presents @ Hole In The Wall (2/13)

Andrew Bird In Austin

andrewbirdThe always incredible Andrew Bird is passing through our town this week and you’ve got two chances to see him.  The first comes at a Waterloo instore on Wednesday which should start at 5pm with free keg beer.  Get to the instore early as it’s sure to be a popular one. The very next day, Andrew will be playing an intimate set at The Paramount Theatre downtown with music starting at 9pm.  That show is sold out, so check yourself some craigslist to find tickets.

Appleseed Cast @ Mohawk (2/7)

willFamous Centro-matic front man Will Johnson is making another solo stop in Austin at the Mohawk on Thursday night.  Tickets for the show can be bought now for $8.
