Free EP from 1, 2, 3

Now, for those of you who’ve listened to us and given some attention to 1, 2, 3 especially THIS song, you might be surprised by what you hear on this Free EP.  Gone are the peppy elements you usually associate with the band, but there’s a reason for that.  Member Nic originally composed this EP for his niece as a beautiful little piece for her to use when drifting off at night.  Thus, the extreme tempo changes on this, but don’t just discard this post because you want more of the same; there’s a wonderful sound waiting on Dreamland Pt. 1, waiting to carry you into your own REM sleep.  And hey, it’s a nice little gift for fans of all things free, so head HERE to get your hands on it; sample a track below to boot!

Fresh New Track from 1, 2, 3

Fresh off the excellent release of New Heaven, Pittsburgh’s 1 2 3 are back with a brand new single, and with that single, they’ll be offering you two brand new tracks. As of right now, I’m pretty sure you can grab these tracks from the band’s site for free, so you’ll need to get your hands on these new jams.  However, the single itself is for “Scared but Not That Scared,” which is one of the standout tracks you’ll find on the record.  It’s got this cutting guitar line working in and out of these excellent bits of melodic pop.  It’s a record filled with hook after hook, so you’ll want to head back and revisit the work from these guys.

New Tunes from 1, 2, 3

Not too long ago, I tossed out a nice little jam from 1, 2, 3, and now we’ve got another track to throw your way for your listening pleasure.  As the band prepares for their debut release, New Heaven, on Frenchkiss Records this June 21st, they seem to be picking up steam with the press.  Listening to this latest single, you get the feeling that the band is going the route of band’s like Suckers, using off-kilter vocals to attach to their own groove-laden tracks.  It’s erratic at parts, but you can definitely feel the chug-chug of the guitar seep into your heart, as angular cuts and crashing cymbals wash over the speakers. Can’t wait for this to be out.

New Track from 1,2,3

As of right now, the world probably doesn’t know too much about the Pittsburgh duo, 1,2,3, but that’s soon to change, especially with the band signing to Frenchkiss.  While the release date for the band’s debut record is still a bit tentative, the Internet has been given this new track, which is expected to be one of the featured tracks from said debut. There’s definitely a nice little groove that moves through this song, and with a full-band in the live setting, you can expect this to group to win everyone over, especially when they make their way to Austin, Tx for SXSW. Give a listen.
