Once you’ve won us over, it’s more likely than not to see your music posted on this here site. Today is no different as I give you the band’s second new single of the year entitled “Search Light”. The dreamy and bright state of this group’s sound grows ever irresistible with each new track.

Dufflecoat Records Update

dufflecoatThe world out there for indiepoppers is tiny, so I was worried that I hadn’t heard too much from Dufflecoat Records as of late.  But, it turns out that I was a boob, and didn’t realize the label had switched a lot of their news over to Bandcamp.  So…seeing as I’m a huge pop fan, and hopefully a purveyor of such as well, I’d be remiss to not fill you in on the latest releases from the label: Exiles and Brideshead.  The latter is a collection of previous works, as well as brand new songs…so you can’t miss buying Never Grow Up.  Exiles have this new EP, I’ve Got Secrets Too.  Both are must have for pop fans, and you can stream a track from each below! Those of you that love this genre will surely find that you’ll enjoy browsing the label’s catalog…so do it to it.

EXILES BAND PHOTO 4We’ve offered our support in the past for New York based band Exiles and I’m excited today to be premiering their new single here for all you fans.  Going by the name “Dawn Patrol”, the new single is in the vein of the shoe gaze genre I suppose, though a label so simple really doesn’t do the song justice.  It’s a breezy tune, full of good vibes, mesmerizing female vocals, and an almost trance inducing sound.  All things worthy of our ATH stamp of approval.

Exiles will be releasing their latest Secrets EP on tape via Beautiful Secrets and on CD via Dufflecoat Records.  Both of those links should take you to a pre-order.

Dream Pop from Exiles

exThere’s a slew of great releases this week, but I thought I’d point you in the direction of one that might be flying under your radar.  The gem below comes from Exiles, a Brooklyn quartet blending the sound of the beach with atmospheric dream pop; it’s definitely a relaxing take that will endear listeners who beg for great pop, plain and simple.  The band are releasing their Only Summer EP this week via We Are the Future, just in time to find a good home on your summer listening mixtapes. You’ll be grateful if you do.
