This is it! The day you’ve all been waiting for! The end of our FFF! Brian shot great photos, and we all had a blast. Thanks, of course, to Giant Noise and Transmission for the privilege of allowing us to cover your festival. Hope everyone had a great time.
Saturday was a good day for loud rock and great pop music, which is why this is one of my favorite festivals to attend. The scheduling of such genre crossings always makes it easy for folks to find a little of what they need. Still really jealous that Brian shook Ted Leo’s hand.
Friday was filled with a bit of hubbub, which was entirely fair. But, in the end, once we got in, the only thing that mattered was friends and music, so we’ll just focus on those things. Read on below for our varying thoughts. Read more
Soon. You will be hungry. Festing is hard work. You burn the calories with those 16oz curls. You will shimmy your way to slim if you don’t grab a snack or two. Thanks to the concept of mobile food vendors laser-focused on doing one thing really well, music festivals went from horrible concession stand gut bombs to delightfully crafted dishes, or at least a gourmet version of the gut-bomb.
So let’s review a few killer options to gnaw on at Fun Fun Fun Fest…
We also now know what will be on the menu for fest goers; Austin’s Pizza, Bananarchy, Black Sheep Lodge + Haymaker, Burro Cheese Kitchen, Cazamance, Chi’Lantro, Frank, JuiceLand, Kebabalicious, Mighty Bird, Skull & Cakebones, Tamale House East, The Salt Lick, Tiff’s Treats, Vegan Yacht, and Whole Foods.
Head to the App Store or Google Play or the FFF9 website for the stare and compare.

You will need to start practicing now for Paddle Board Joust, Paddle Board Relays, the Belching Contest and the Celebrity Tug-of-War. I am not sure they will use celebrities as the rope for the tug or if you will be joined by celebrities. If that wasn’t enough to witness, the lake jump ramp will be back as well as the usual camp challenges like the balloon toss and sack race. …and of course they will have the taco cannon! You could win passes of all flavors and Fest Merch.
The pre-lineup announcements to get wristbands in your hands for cheap continue to flow outbound. Fun Fun Fun Fest 9 is the latest online ticketing opportunity that will make you swear at your computer and wonder if the number of people that got in early could be counted on one hand. Get in the queue. Might I recommend listening to our January Mix as your online on hold music?
YOU MUST GET ONLINE TOMORROW BEFORE 9AM CST!!! CLICK HERE!!!
I was very worried. I was a bit vexed by the plans of See Three to renovate Auditorium Shores thereby undermining our friends at Transmission to have their party. Would it be the death of Fun Fun Fun Fest? That spot is perfect for the festival that is three festivals in one.
My mind has been put at ease with the announcement that the City of Austin has in fact confirmed that Auditorium Shores will be available for FFF9. With that, dates have been confirmed and Early Bird purchase news has been delivered. Joy of joys, Christmas is saved.
Fun Fun Fun Fest 9 – November 7, 8 and 9 @ Auditorium Shores
Early Bird Tickets – February 12th @ 9AM CST
