Most Listened to Albums in 2019…According to Keeled Scales

Austin label Keeled Scales are clearly some of our favorite people; they’ve pretty much exploded into one of the best labels in the US, so we’re glad they had a few moments to list out their 10 Most Listened to LPs of 2019!

Be sure to visit their SITE and check out all the great releases; I’d start with this year’s Jordan Moser record, then maybe hop back to that Julia Lucille LP (if you were asking me!). They’ve also made us a great playlist of their favorite tunes from this year, as well as some hits from their artists, all after the jump!

A Year End List from Joe Smyth of Nine Mile Records and Touring

Joe Smyth help us keep our Austin theme today, as he’s one of the folks helping get Austin acts (and others) out on the road. But, more importantly, he’s a scavenger of music news, so he’s given us a couple of great lists…one a shout out to the blogs that turned him onto great music…and the other just a general best of list. Peruse as you must, and if you have touring needs…check out Nine Mile Touring.

Love This New Track From Friendship

It’s hump day and it’s time for something a little bit different. Today that comes by way of this new single “Skip to the Good Part” from Philadelphia based outfit Friendship. Something about the way leading man Dan Wiggins spouts off incredible line after incredible line over a meandering bit of beautifully composed music has really spoken to me this morning. No comparisons, it’s just a damn good song.

Friendship will release Shock Out of Season on November 3rd via Ordinal Records.
