Stream the Debut from Great American Canyon Band

12670686_10156772283935068_533196333295986591_nI’ve raved about the craftsmanship of Great American Canyon Band for the past few months, promoting several of the tracks off their debut album, Only You Remain. Well, it’s finally here, and I wanted to share with you the joyous listen, filled with dreamy soundscapes and allusions to folk influences. It’s a down-tempo journey, begging for your full mental immersion into the work the band have created. Just wanted you all to have a chance to get away from today by listening to the record; it’s available now via Six Degrees Records.

Another New Great American Canyon Band

12792358_10156588098425068_8791836717133372911_oDear reader…do you have some time? If so, I implore you to listen to this new Great American Canyon Band tune; it’s a slow burner. Vocals roll in slow, like a storm building atop a gently crafted piece of atmospheric Americana. Lighter vocal touches come in to cover the empty space, and the song glides along as guitar strings are bent in your ear. We’re drenched in rain here in Austin, and this track fits perfectly, but in the grand scheme, it also fits nicely on the band’s new album, Only You Remain…it comes out on April 8th.

Fresh Single from Great American Canyon Band

12239231_10156232362360068_2759024979203893259_oThe last time we heard from Great American Canyon Band was a few years back when RayRay turned us all onto the act. But, the band have jumped back into the swing with a new single that will feature on their brand new album, coming out in early 2016. It’s the sort of drifting folk stylings that people seem gravitate towards, bringing warm harmonies and filling in the empty spaces with sliding guitar chords. It’s a return to simple structures and perfect execution, which makes the listen all the more enjoyable…so lets be on the lookout for the group in 2016.

New Music From The Great American Canyon Band

Last April, I decided that new indie band The Great American Canyon Band were a group that all should have a listen to in their spare time.  I compared them initially to a mellowed out version of Dutchess & The Duke, which was appropriate with new song “Burn”, but not so much with the track below called “Young Lady”.  No, this one is an even more subdued approach featuring some atmospheric qualities that can remind me of Lost In The Trees at times.  This track is currently being offered as a stand alone single with no other mention of a full length coming just yet.  Stay tuned for the news.
