The Roof Dogs Release Weather

As previously mentioned, I have become an ever growing fan of the Birmingham, AL based label Earth Libraries and all the excellent tunes they’ve been putting out over the last year. The label has once again sent over a banger with the new single “Weather” from Chicago based outfit The Roof Dogs. Clearly the song has a bit of irony for us in Texas since we are constantly subservient to the weather, but that aside, the song is an incredibly catchy indie rock song with just enough hints of pop beats. Check it out and enjoy.

The Roof Dogs will be releasing a new album entitled Here You Are sometime in the Spring of 2023 via Earth Libraries.

Say Hello To Teen Blush

TEEN BLUSH is the musical project of Kenn Foss who has been making music for the last couple of years out of Chicago. Despite his young age, Foss already has a ton of music over on his bandcamp page with various singles and EPs ready for you to stream and/or purchase for download. For a small sampling of his musical style, I suggest you check out his latest single below entitled “Other Faces”. It has a very new wave inspiration with these lovely, subtle hints of goth and electronica akin to The Ninth Wave or even darker Depeche Mode. It’s running heavy on my playlist today. Stay tuned for more from TEEN BLUSH.

If you’re into a bands like Screaming Females or even Ty Segall, then this will be your jam of the day. Check it out below.

Delightful New Tune From Archawah

image3-620x478Some of you may know Chris Archibald for his work as the lead singer of indie pop veteran group Illinois.  I was always a fan of the group so you can imagine I was excited to hear about the new of Chris stepping out on his own as a solo artist under the moniker Archawah.  As a preview of his new project, we are all treated with this new track “Silvermoon”.  I knew I was going to enjoy this before even pressing play, and of course it’s a subtle beauty.  Stay tuned as we get more information on this new project.

Illinois On Daytrotter

illinoisSo here’s our obligatory Daytrotter post of the week… The always stellar live music website just posted a session by Pennsylvannia band Illinois that we’ve been enjoying.
