One Last Trudy and the Romance Tune

To celebrate the release of their Junkyard Jazz EP, Trudy and the Romance dropped one last tune for you to enjoy. For some reason the first thirty or so seconds give me a feeling like listening to Libertines, then they spin the track into a soaring vocal, only to pull back where the hook is and prolong the gratification for listeners; it’s an emotional tease that will eventually lead to your satisfaction. It’s an interesting listen, with tons of little movements within the confines of one track, perhaps fitting that it also could be described as “junkyard jazz,” though with an indie pop twist. Go ahead, jam this tune.

Have Fun with Trudy and the Romance

Remember when you could have fun listening to your rock n’ roll? Well, Trudy and the Romance have dropped a new single for just that. A little barbershop quartet opens the song, before they jitterbug their way into your eardrums, shuffling with catchy percussion and a vocal hook that uses a guttural growl to make sure to keep things cool. This UK trio always makes me get out of my seat and rush to turn the speakers up louder; it’s pure fun, and that’s okay. The group are set to release their Junkyard Jazz EP on November 17th via B3SCI.

Did You Hear the New Trudy and the Romance Tune

This track came my way last week, and it seems to have blown up since that point. Having written about Trudy and the Romance before, it seems fitting I should continue my infatuation with the group. Here we have the more of a crooner’s masterpiece, filled with string arrangements, delicate piano notes and a unique little warble in the vocals that draws your ears into the track. It’s great to see pop bands taking such huge leaps with their music, and the whole production here indicates the group means business. Look for their Junkyard Jazz EP to drop this November.
