KVRX Fest Starts Tonight: Bands to Catch and Things To Know!

In case you were wondering what you were doing with your weekend, look no further, as we’ve got a new fest that combines both great local faves and touring acts in small venues. Yes, that’s right! The inaugural KVRX Fest is upon us starting tonight, and for the low price of 45 bucks you get three stages and 40 bands, both local and national, to help kill your Friday and Saturday. Clearly Grape St. is a band that we have close ties to here at ATH so you also know that we’ll be supporting them in the future as they grow to new found fame in Austin.  Wednesday the guys have a show going down at Holy Mountain put together by the fine folks at college radio station KVRX.  Making this a a great local lineup are Austin bands Pharoahs and Ghetto Ghouls.  You know we’re going to be there and we better see you in attendance as well supporting our great local artists.

Show Preview: KVRX End Of Summer Show @ The Parish (8/26)

For those of you recovering from a weekend hangover and looking for a good show, head on over to The Parish on Sunday night for a nice show put together by local station KVRX.  The lineup features a slew of great local talent in the form of The Young, Sleep Good, Belaire, East Cameron Folkcore, and The White White Lights.  It’s rare that you’ll get to see this much talent in one night for such a cheap price.

KVRX Benefit @ Victory Grill 4/23

kvrx_pledge_drive_benefit_poster-1-1We’ll be making our first return to Victory Grill since our SXSW showcase on Thursday night for the KVRX Pledge Drive Benefit Concert.  The UT radio station is keeping it local with Austin bands Heartstring Stranglers, Breakfast Club Crew, Sohns, Wine & Revolution, Wild Moccasins, and DJ Car Stereo (Wars) all joining in for the nights events.  A suggested $7 donation will be taken at the door which includes free BBQ and beer while supplies last.  Things kick off around 8pm.
