Just when it looked like we were going to skip that whole fall season thing, last night’s rain and cold front had us grateful for the change in venues from the Scoot Inn to Emo’s. This same rain didn’t prevent people from getting there early to catch the opening act, even despite the 6:30 door times. It was a night of appreciation for beauty in simplicity, where opener Chris Staples did his part to warm the crowd for the elegance of Manchester Orchestra. Emo’s is the place to be on your Wednesday night of music in Austin with another set by Hotlanta band Manchester Orchestra.  Be prepared for 3 openers prior to the headliners with music from The Features, Chris Staples, and O’Brother.  That lineup is definitely worth the ticket price.

Manchester Orchestra In Austin (5/26)

man_orch_01Hotlanta rockers Manchester Orchestra are coming through town on Tuesday and have two shows lined up for you Austin music lovers.  First show is a Waterloo Records in-store which starts around 5pm and will of course have free keg beer if you get there early enough.  Second show will be a full on proper set at Emo’s later in the evening at 8pm.  This show features Audrye Sessions, Fun and Winston Audio playing in support.  Tickets are on sale for $10.
