Austin’s own dance hit maker Neiliyo just sent us this new track called “Aquinnah” off his brand new EP of same name. The new EP is currently available to stream in its entirety over on Neiliyo’s website. This guy continues to create indie dance hits while enjoying himself more than any of us.

Those familiar with Lamebook and their current legal fight with Zuckerberg inc. are aware that the creators behind the parody site are in dire need of funding for legal services. I hear it’s pretty expensive to get sued by a billion dollar corporation… but what do I know? To help support this hilarious website, head out to Shangri-La tonight for a fundraiser benefiting the massive legal fees currently being incurred by Lamebook. Your entertainment for the evening is provided by local pop star Neiliyo and the Learning Secrets DJs. You can also expect a photo booth by Annie Ray and one free keg of beer tapped every hour between 7pm-12. Get out there tonight guys and do as Lamebook founders Jonathan Standefer and Matthew Genitempo tell us, “fight for the right to make fun of whomever we damn well please.” I can get behind that.

Austin’s very own solo dance man Neiliyo has a new tune called “Springtime” that he’s using to promote some upcoming live dates. The new song is a bit slower than what were used to, but it still has a nice beat to it. Keep it up good sir.

Haven’t made plans yet for your Friday night in Austin? What the Hell is wrong with you!? If you’re still looking around for what to do, consider the CD release party by DJ Car Stereo (Wars) going down at Beauty Bar tonight. The local DJ will be joined by fellow locals All My Friends (LCD Soundsystem tribute band), Neiliyo, and DJ Hot Britches. Always the salesman, DJ Car Stereo (Wars) will be handing out a free copy of his new CD to all attendees. Also expect free Brooklyn Brewery Beer & 3 Olives Vodka from 9-10pm! Hell yeah!

Mohawk has a great show going down on Monday night with some of the best musical talent Austin has to offer. The stacked lineup includes Octopus Project, All My Friends, Sunset, Neiliyo, and Paradise Titty. Sounds like a sweet night for local music!

Who ever said you can’t celebrate Halloween early? The fine folks at Cherry Peel and Flip Scene think you can and that’s exactly what they’ll be doing at Mohawk on Wednesday night. You can expect music from Black and White Years, Bright Light Social Hour, Learning Secrets DJs, Markus with a K, L.A.X, and Neiliyo. Fun Fun Fun Fest is fast approaching and we wanted to go ahead and give you some details about a pre-party we have planned with some other fine local folks. Our Combo Meal event will be going down on Nov. 6th at Scoot Inn and features 2 stagse of incredible bands and DJs. The outside DJ stage features headliners Hood Internet, local legend Neiliyo, and Prepmode. The inside stage features Stillwater boys Colourmusic along with Zlam Dunk, StABBA (metal aBBa cover band) and up and coming locals Ideal Soul Mart. If that wasn’t enough, the great Annie Ray will be on hand to take some fancy photos and Under Pressure will be on site making custom screen t-shirts. Price for the show is $5 if you RSVP ahead of time at do512 and $8 if you don’t.

We are big fans of VEGA and we are also big fans of cheap shows at Club Deville on Friday nights. Fellow locals Neiliyo and Joshua Distance will also be on hand to play for the show. Entrance is only $5 if you RSVP at Turn 2 Live or $10 if you don’t. Should be a fun one.
