Recent Hardly Art signee Le Loup is making a stop in town on this fine Monday and you’ve got two chances to see them.  The first is a free Waterloo Records in-store at 5pm with the always nice free keg beer.  After that, head over to Mohawk for a full on set with Nurses and local boys Zorch providing the opening support.  ¡Feliz día de los muertos!

We give a lot of mentions to Throw me the Statue on this here website and we always try to post when the band is stopping in our town.  So Friday night is the band’s next Austin show and it’s really cheap!  Opening acts are The Brunettes and recent Dead Oceans signee Nurses.

Nurses is not a band we know a whole lot about other than they’re from Portland and they just signed a deal with ATH fave label Dead Oceans.  We also know that we really like this strange yet catchy new single from Nurses called “Caterpillar Playground”.  We’re going to describe it as experimental pop music.  Sound good to you?  You can get your hands on the bands debut LP Apple’s Acre on August 4th.
