New Music from The Moth & The Mirror

August 4, 2011 nathan.lankford Leave a comment

Have you not heard about The Moth & The Mirror? Well, if you haven’t, but you follow Glaswegian bands, you have probably heard something from all the members participating in this super-group. There’s members of Arab Strap, Reindeer Section, Admiral Follow and Frightened Rabbit. Should make for a pretty interesting combination, right? We’ve heard the band is going to release an album later in the year, but for now they’re content to hold you over with this tune.  It begins with Stacey Sievwright, wooing you with her voice, but as the band joins in, there’s discordant guitars cutting their way through and drums pounding furiously.  It’s a lot more haunting of a feeling than what you would expect, with the members previous projects considered, but there’s nothing wrong with that.
