New Music From Bowerbirds

bowerbirdsphotoAfter the success of their debut LP, North Carolina band Bowerbirds are back and ready to drop a  sophomore LP on our ears.  The new LP will be called Upper Air and features this brand spankin’ new single “Northern Lights”.  You can get this album in stores June 7th via Secretly Canadian. They’ll also be making a stop at the Mohawk in August so keep your ears open for a reminder.  I’m diggin’ this one hard style.

New Tunes from Throw Me the Statue

throwThrow Me the Statue is one of those bands that you’ll find difficult to define immediately. They’re part Sufjan, part elctronica and stirred in a pot by the Northwest. It’s an interesting recipe for some great tunes, which is reason enough to post a song off the band’s latest Purpleface EP, which is out now via Secretly Canadian.

Danielson

This just in from Secretly Canadian: Expect a whole slew of new things from Daniel Smith and his family band Danielson from here until the holidays.  To start the Danielson party off, we have “Animal in Every Corner” featuring a remix by Kramer.  The track will be found on a retrospective album highlighting the first decade of Mr. Smith’s work entitled Trying Hartz due out this fall.
