Slamming New Track From Dead Nature

Liverpool based artist Tarek Musa has long been known as the drummer for the garage rock/indie rock band Spring King, who built up a lot of music blogger love 5-6 years ago. Well now Musa is stepping out on his own with plans to release a debut, full length LP under his musical moniker Dead Nature. As a tease of the new album and solo work, we are pleased to share this banging new single with you called “Hurricane”. It is a pure treat in the garage rock genre as it works through a raucous pace from the very beginning and never truly lets up. Think the happy vibes of Los Campesinos if they suddenly decided to go in a more rocking direction.

Dead Nature will release Watch Me Break Apart on June 25th. Pre-orders are live now.

Spring King Release Album in the U.S. !

unnamed-49Now, we’ve posted about Spring King in the past, but their debut album just came out earlier this year in Britain, and it’s been blowing up big time. That’s why I’m thrilled to announce thatTell Me If You Like To, has been released for us here stateside. Below is a track from that album, aptly titled “Summer,” and it’s a glimmer of rock and roll fun that Spring King is all about. You get gang vocals and hooky choruses that beg you to sing along. You also get bombastic percussion and bouncy synths. Make sure you jam along with these summer vibes here and then go pick up a copy of their newly released album from Terrible Recordsright over here.

Groovy Tune from St. Tropez

fuzzI have no idea what to really say about this single from St. Tropez, other than you’re going to love it…I hope. There’s this fuzzy riffage that opens the track, then sticks around to sort of propel the song forward energetically. But, in the vocals, there’s something, like a cross between BRMC and Brit-pop…maybe just a darkly tinged bit of indifference. The Dutch outfit got some love in the studio from Spring King, so you know people are taking note of their work already. This latest single just indicates that we’ve got more good things coming…hopefully more new tunes in 2016.

Another Great Tune from Spring King

kingsWhen I posted the first single from Spring King, I thought I was about as excited as one could get on hearing a completely new band.  Now, however, my interest has been piqued further…this tune is definitely a standout track if there ever was one.  There are elements of huge anthemic indie rock in here, but the casual style of the song’s delivery really gives it this hipper than thou swagger.  It’s the title tune on their They’re Coming After You EP, which will be delivered to stores on April 20th via Handsome Dad.

Check Out Spring King (SXSW Act)

springI was just talking about the search for rad bands I hadn’t had a chance to even really check out when I stumbled upon Spring King.  The UK pop group have this strong sense of pop traditionalism, though they juxtapose that with some rougher edges, building their tunes with driving guitar rhythms to hook listeners.  They just released this single this week, so if you’re looking for a bit of discovery, or just a rad hit to work into your daily listening rotation, then go with these lads.
