FFF Artist Spotlight: Mikal Cronin

We’re a week out from Fun Fun Fun Fest 2015, and you should probably be getting your schedule nailed down, so I’m here to help you out. Mikal Cronin is an act that’s sure to make your list of highlights on Monday after the fest when all is said and done. Once you press play on the single “Made My Mind Up” from back in January of this year, you’ll be enamored with the breezy alternative rock that Cronin brings to the table. The driving electric guitar, embellished with tinkling piano and soaring vocals will certainly be wonderful to start your fest off at 2:25 on Friday afternoon on the Orange Stage. Or perhaps a good way to round out your first day of festing Friday night at 10:45 at The Mohawk.

FFF Fest Artist Spotlight: Joanna Gruesome

Fun Fun Fun Fest is a week and some change away, so I’m going to bring you more previews of artists that deserve your time and attention at Auditorium Shores or at FFF Nites. Today’s spotlight falls on Joanna Gruesome , a band out of Cardiff whose punkish pop tunes are bound to be the perfect atmosphere for the festival. The band is touring in support of their most recent album, Peanut Butter, that came out earlier this year which has been calling the public’s attention to the group and their effortless dichotomy between harsh rock and roll and sugary sweet vocals. Take a listen below to the lead single from that release, and then check them out at the festival. Joanna Gruesome play Saturday at 1:20 on the Orange Stage as well as at 9:15 at RIP Red 7 (611 E. 7th) on Friday Night. FFF Fest Announce The Funderdome

Here is an example where the folks over at Transmission Events really shine: creative and exciting problem solving. After last year’s wristband pickup snafu, Fun Fun Fun Fest have come up with an awesome way to thwart long lines as well as celebrate ten great years of Fest. Enter The Funderdome, a way in which to not only pick or purchase tickets/wristbands, but to have a kick ass time while doing so, enjoying nightly programming that will surely be fun fun fun.
