Tincho Do It Again

Man I think this Seattle band Tincho is really doing something special right now and will likely be growing in fame over the coming months. The band’s soon to be released album, Home Today, will be looked upon as one of the best and most progressive full lengths of the year. Their sound takes old familiar indie rock sounds like Foreign Born or Beach Fossils, and then puts a more modern twist on things with a mature, yet energetic vibe. Don’t believe me? While you can’t get your hands on the full album just yet, today the band shared another single from the record called “Jet-Puffed Marshmallow”. It’s a stunner.

Home Today will be released on September 13th. Pre-orders are live now.

Welcome Back Tincho

Having been some three years since I last heard from Seattle based Tincho, I was excited when they sent me some new music a few days ago. The new song, “I Got Home Today”, features a fairly straightforward tack on indie rock with chill guitars, quiet vocals, and a nicely executed progression. Think Beach Fossils if some of that washed out, shoegaze effect was lost and replaced with a cleaner, bright sound. It’s good stuff.

Tincho will be releasing a debut album sometime later this year. Stay tuned.

Single Premiere: Tincho

TINCHO PROMO PICMan I love it when we’re asked to do a track premiere for some music I’ve really been digging lately. Today I am given that pleasure from Seattle based mostly solo project known as Tincho. Our track is called “Underwater Eyes” and is self-described as slop with touches of atmospheric pop. While that description does seem pretty fitting, I’d add this one is for fans of guys like Mac Demarco, Kelly Stoltz or even Kurt Vile. Needless to say, I’m pretty high on this guy right now.

“Underwater Eyes” appears on a brand new EP entitled Nos Vemos due out Friday June 3rd (pre-order here).
