Show Pics: Eternal Summers & Turbo Fruits @ Holy Mountain (4/20)

Eternal SummersIt was 4/20 and team ATH braved the pot-laden air in Austin to go check out several great bands playing the Monday night show at Holy Mountain. We got a double headlined deal with Eternal Summers and Turbo Fruits along with Kay Odyssey and Rose Selavy. Indie pop gems, rock and/or roll, surf inflicted pop, we had an evening of subtle sub-genre loving. I chucked the manual focus primes into the camera bag and captured moments.

Brief thoughts and plenty of shots await…

Rose Selavy are ready. They are ready to play new songs, ready to play old songs. They are ready to put out some new music. Stay tuned. Monday night banter, friends dancing right along to catchy things.

Kay Odyssey, I was not in the know on this all female troop of fans of rock and roll. Big sounds, energy, think Cheap Trick playing Beerland.

Eternal Summers has hits. This evening, they played many new songs, new songs recorded in Austin, new songs on Gold & Stone. They seemed pleased with themselves at the end of each new jam. I loved the new material live.

Turbo Fruits – WEED IS TYTE.
