Crunchy Rocker from QTY

QTY are an upstart act from New York bringing a lot of promise with their debut track. It’s a hook-laden bit of rock n’ roll that seems steeped in the recent history of the band’s hometown…though I also hear a bit of the Replacements. Dan Lardner takes the reigns with the vocals, but you can hear the balance being brought by Alex Niemetz just beneath that, leaving the song with just enough contrast to make the whole thing interesting. The group have just signed on to Dirty Hit to release their debut, so be on the look out for more from NYC’s rising stars.
