Anyone looking for something fun to do with some great music on Saturday night should head out to Stubbs for a local show sponsored by Autobus Records, Birds Barbershop, Do512, and Covert Curiosity.  The lineup features local favorites Brazos, Mark David Ashworth, The Weird Weeds, and one of my favorite new locals Sleep Good.  The price is super cheap and apparently some free Lone Star will be coming out so you won’t want to miss this one.  Below you’ll find a new MP3 from Austin artist Sleep Good which is basically a solo project from Will Patterson of Sunset.  You can find more tunes and more info on this hot up and coming artist on the Autobus Records website.

New Music From Sunset

WebAustin band Sunset have a new LP coming our way later this month and they’ve offered up three MP3s as a preview of this new material.  We’ve got one for you below called “Gold Dissolves to Gray” which will appear on an album with the same name due out Nov. 24th on Autobus Records.  This new tune has a nice jangly and slightly country-ish vibe that we really dig.  You can also check out two more songs on the band’s website.  Thanks to our amigos Ultra8201 for the heads up.

New Music From Brazos

brazos600Brazos has long been one of our favorite Austin bands, so we were excited to have some new music from the guys drop into our inbox today.  This new track is called “Day Glo” and will appear on the locals upcoming album Phosphorescent Blues which hits stores Nov 24th on Autobus Records.  We’ve been giving this one some heavy rotation on our itunes today.
