Cozy Slippers Share Will You Disappear Video

Last summer, Cozy Slippers released a delightful 7″ for one of our favorite labels, KUS; we raved about it at the time…and I included it in my year-end indiepop wrap-up. Today, we get another chance to celebrate that release, with the band sharing a video for the B-Side “Will You Disappear?” The video was shot on phone cameras by the band in November as the group toured through the UK. You get a little bit of their journey, bringing you closer to the band, but also some live footage spliced in too! So go on, go on tour with Cozy Slippers and enjoy this little pop tune. Still a few copies of the 7″ that you can grab HERE.

Cozy Slippers Announce New 7″

I feel like it’s getting to the point where any time that I see a new release pop up from Kleine Untergrund Schallplatten that I should just expect greatness. Luckily, when it comes to news of a fresh 7″ from Cozy Slippers, I was already up to date on the band, having been a fan of their Postcards EP (Jigsaw 2018). Their return has those early jangling notes turn more into a woozy dream vibe; they still have the same sharpness, but they meander just a bit on the edges, which actually opens the song up for one of those classic vocal performances. There’s an earnest to the lyrical delivery; it almost feels as if you can hear it as an homage to Jett or Harry in their hey-day…it sparkles but brims with bravado. The new 7″ will be available this Friday via KUS.

Hear Another Cozy Slippers Gem

Cozy Slippers first came on my radar a few weeks ago when Jigsaw Records put up a new single from the group’s Postcards EP. Well, good news is they’ve now offered up another fine item for your streaming pleasure. I like the tonal quality from the opening minute, almost ticking you into a post-punk vibe before settling into the rising/falling vocal harmonies that subdue any pop aficionado. They’re playful in their craft, trading hooks, dare I say, back and forth. It’s a song you’ll find hard to pull yourself away from; the Postcards EP will drop on April 20th.

Poppy Ditty from Cozy Slippers

Beneath the rain in Seattle is a shimmering pop underbelly, or at least that’s what this new track from Cozy Slippers would have you believe. The band drop this new single today, hanging jangling guitar lines out in the air while the duel vocal threat of Barbara and Sarah supply the required amount of melody. That melodic element almost hints at the realm of dream pop, accented by a seemingly smoky mix in the studio. The trio will release their Postcards EP via the reliable Jigsaw Records on April 20th.
