Love This New Honey Lung Tune

Over the last year or so, London based group Honey Lung has quickly been moving quite a few songs into year end lists and various other playlists of mine. Yet again I feel like the guys deliver another real slam dunk in the indie rock genre with this new single called “Big”. I absolutely love the intricate and dueling guitar work on this track. All of the separate parts blend into each other effortlessly and offer the listener a fantastic piece of music.

Honey Lung will release a new EP entitled Post Modern Motorcade Music on May 29th via Big Scary Monsters.

Raucous New Single From Honey Lung

Way back in 2017, we posted about an up and coming London based outfit called Honey Lung. Since that time, we’ve missed the boat on some of their new music, but alas we put an end to that today! Fresh off some recent touring, the band just dropped this rowdy new single called “Nothing” yesterday. It definitely has a 90s, alternative/grunge vibe similar to something you might hear from later Smashing Pumpkins. Whatever you compare it to, it’s a hit for sure.

Hear New Music from Honey Lung

I’m just really feeling this Honey Lung tune, so I had to share it with you all. It’s actually a pretty relaxed number, working predominantly around a semi-angular guitar chord that rings in your ears as the vocals calmingly dance their way on top. A few spots the band does employ the modern shoegaze touch to stretch the song’s vibe, but the settled moments return, definitely winning this listener over; seems perfect for letting your mind drift off into the day. They’re young London upstarts, but let’s hope they keep up this promise.
