One of my personal favorite bands Horse Feathers made an appearance on the famed Daytrotter website yesterday. This session is just down right sick. Not only do we have 8 songs for download, but we’ve also got a tasty unreleased song called “Orphan Girl”. You won’t want to miss out on this action.

Yesterday The Gum premiered this new track “Belly of June” from a favorite band of mine Horse Feathers. The new track will appear on the band’s upcoming 3rd album Thistled Spring due out April 20th on Kill Rock Stars. You’ll notice the familiar indie-folk sound complimented by the haunting voice of leading man Justin Ringle. He’s got some of the best and most unique pipes in the genre.

One of our favorite artists from last year, Horse Feathers, just did a Tiny Desk session for the fine folks at NPR music. One of my favorite discoveries of the year, Horse Feathers, just recorded a Woxy Lounge session and the nice folks at The Futurist have all the live songs available for download. The band plays 3 songs from their stellar 2008 album House With no Home and one from their 2006 release Words Are Dead. Here’s the live track from the 2006 album called “Mother’s Sick”. Beautiful.

Portland artist Horse Feathers have a new song called “Curs in the Weeds” that you can check out below. The song is set to appear on the band’s upcoming album House with no Home due out September 9th. You can also check out a 3 song Daytrotter session the band did about a year ago.
