More Fresh News from Le Rug

lerug2Not too long ago we brought you news of Le Rug and their new release, Game Over. It’s said to be a collection of 70+ songs on both cassette and digital formats via Fleeting Youth Records, and while that may sound daunting, I think everyone is going to get more than their fill. On the latest teen there’s almost a nostalgic late emo feel, akin to early Say Anything. Still, there’s this wild indifference to the polish and production, which makes these songs rather endearing to listeners, ignoring expectations in order to just rock ahead. Look for the release from FYR on November 20th.

Le Rug Readies Huge Collection of Tracks

lerug1You think a collection takes the hits and puts it all down to a best of, but in the case of the forthcoming release from Le Rug, you’re going to get far more than you’ve bargained; you’re going to get 70 brand new tracks…some dedicated to our presidents, but all filled with hooks. Ray Weiss, the man behind the project, has definitely put his time in here, and each song brims with the need to play it over and over again. I want you to turn this one up really loud and tell me that you don’t like it; I bet you can’t. You can grab Game Over right HERE from Fleeting Youth Records.

Le Rug to Release Compilation with Fleeting Youth Records

lerugWe’re really excited to see what our hometown friends over at Fleeting Youth Records are doing, consistently releasing interesting music across the board.  Their latest announcement is that they’ll be releasing a 32 track compilation with Le Rug, the Brooklyn project of Ray Weiss.  You’ll get a collection of old songs, as well as some of the newer songs, and I think you’ll enjoy jamming to this one today.  It’s a little bit brash, with various yelping moments to bring home the point of the angular post-punk project.  The release will be available on June 17th on both digital and cassette formats.
