Last Week’s Jams (4.21 – 4.25)

While the week certainly felt overly busy on my end, we perhaps didn’t cover as much ground as we generally do. That said, we have over an hour of music to provide you, which is missing new stuff from Monnone Alone and Wine Country, so there’s more from last week on the site. We were also prepping for Austin Psych Fest, so you had preview pieces from Dummy and Blackwater Holylight; they went along perfectly with our coverage of the Melvins/Napalm Death Austin show. You’ll find new stuff from Gelli Haha, Strange Pilgrim and more, so just click play and let us do the rest!

LEECHES Return With New Single

It has been quite a long time, near on 5 years to be exact, since I last heard from Bournemouth based outfit LEECHES. Imagine my excitement when the band reached out and shared news of a regrouping of sorts, along with this new single “Green.” What a way to come back too, with a loud, super well produced, absolute killer of a track. I think you’ll be enjoying this one as you hit play below. Here’s to hoping for more to come from the lads in the near future.

Real Banger From Leeches

Only a couple of months ago I shared with you all a catchy as hell song called “Fuerta Ventura” from my new pals in Dorset based band LEECHES. Well now the boys are back with this banging new number called “Man Up”. It features a nice blend of a shoe gaze inspired sound which meanders in and out of some seriously heavy, seriously loud, sludge rock. I think you will find it quite enjoyable.

LEECHES are releasing a singles collection EP called Easy on July 3rd via Leisure Records.

Super Catchy Number From Leeches

Happy hump day! Hopefully you are surviving yet another work week, and your guy RayRay is here to help you with your struggle. My new friends in Dorest based rock band LEECHES have this new song called “Fuerte Ventura” which should motivate you to get through this day. It’s a hook laden, psych rock number sure to inspire some head nodding and toe tapping. Also, love the rhythm section on this one, especially the drumming technique.

Leeches are planning to release one track a month until July 3rd when they will drop the entire collection as an album called Easy. That one is coming via Leisure Records.
