lr_portrait2_andrewsegretiNot too long ago, I shared an enchanting new tune from Little Racer called “Jack Knife”.  That one tune climbed it’s way to the top of my most played fast as hell so it only makes since for me to share more music as the band has it.  Let’s consider this a lucky day as the band is currently streaming their entire new Foreign Tongues EP for all the fans.  You can find all the goodness below.

lr_portrait2_andrewsegretiSometimes songs can be really hard to resist, and this little jam “Jack Knife” from Little Racer is one of those songs I’m finding irresistible today.  When we get right down to it, I doubt many folks would disagree with me when I say this track is so easy to like and full of every bit of all the great things about pop music.  I dare you to play it only once.

Little Racer have a new EP entitled Foreign Tongues due out on June 16th via Papercup Music.

littleracerFeel like I started off the week throwing a lot of somber tunes your way, so I feel like today should be a little more uplifting, making this new track from Little Racer the perfect ditty for your day.  Musically, it’s all about the rhythm section filling out the track; the bass and drum beat propel the song, but also give you something you can tap your toes too.  This doesn’t mean you can’t attach your ears to the warmth of the vocals, but rather that the mood is impacted most by what’s going on in the background.  You can find this tune on the group’s upcoming EP, which is slated for an April release.

New Jam from Little Racer

RACER_01.141746It’s always funny to me how some bands break in the UK before ever making waves in the US, so I definitely feel like I need to open my eyes beyond my own shores…such is this global world.  One of the bands that have really made a name for themselves abroad is Little Racer of NY; they even put out a 7″ overseas in 2011.  But, things look to change with catchy tracks such as the one below.  There’s a dark quality from the sound of the guitars and the brooding bass line, but you’ll still hear an accessible pop sensibility lurking beneath.  Enjoy this track and wait for the group’s upcoming EP.
