You should definitely bethinking we are really into this band based on the amount of posts they’ve received over the last couple of months. If you have yet to check them out, now is the time. They seem to effortlessly mix catchy beats like a Yeasayer type band and blend them with all the best things about dream pop.

over-sands-press-photo-2Man these dudes in London based Over Sands continue to impress me as they release more and more new music. Only about a month ago we heard new track “Memory House” and now they’ve given meyet another beauty called “Woke up Haunted”. It’s sort of like if Grizzly Bear and Efterklang got together to make bright, soaring, and downright enchanting pop music. Keep ’em coming.

Over Sands has delayed the release of their new EP Roman Rooms, which will now be released on September 2nd.

Bright & Airy New Single From Over Sands

I’m excited today to share you their first bit of new music since last year with this promising new single entitled “Memory House”. Once again we are treated to a soaring bit of pop music, but this time around they’ve added some killer beats and a bright guitar throughout the song. If you haven’t checked these guys out yet, you should now.

Luckily, this Over Sands track sort of carried itself into my inbox, bringing with a huge sound and this twinkling bit of beauty. It’s the sort of tune that drowns out the world around you, clearing your thoughts away…just sink into the track. Be it the electric wash or the airy vocals bursting through your speakers, you’re going to give in to this number. You’ll be able to hear this one on the project’s debut EP, which comes out late November courtesty of B3SCI.

Over Sands Making Waves Over Here?

That being said, I think the soulful approach of Over Sands has just what it takes. The music’s carefully crafted, highlighting the melody in all the right places, yet pulling back when its necessary. It’s the perfect start to a new act, which means there is a lot of promise that can come our way in the future from the duo. You’ll get to hear the full EP on November 20th, so keep an ear up and throw some support to the London act.
