Think you missed something awesome last week? Well you very well might have, and we did our best to cover what we were into all week long. Great to hear new stuff from the forthcoming Eerie Wanda record, as well as news that we were getting a new Robert Sotelo LP before the year wraps up. Melby might have dropped the greatest jam that hasn’t quite broken over here in the States, despite its brilliance. As previously reported, our pal Peter Matthew Bauer has a new solo album called Flowers coming out next month via Bauer’s own indie label Fortune Tellers. Prior to that much anticipated release date, I am beyond excited to share a new single with you today along with a few quick questions Peter was kind enough to answer the other day. We talk about what it’s like making music as a solo musician, how life is getting back to normal (sort of), and what new music he’s been into recently. I don’t know if you guys noticed, but RayRay got a new gig, so he’s had tons more time to get some sweet jams up! It’s great, as we definitely have some crossover, but also our own styles, so our playlists are probably much more diverse! I mean, just last week he premiered new Mother Sun and Peter Matthew Bauer, while I was rocking the heck out of Almond Joy and The Smashing Times. I mean, there’s no winner, but you! We also were able to get some old friends on the pages with Why Bonnie and Cam Bina! So, happy Monday to us all!

Though the demise of the mighty Walkmen broke hearts here in the ATH offices, we’ve loved all the impressive material coming from the band’s members since the break up. Peter Matthew Bauer, former guitar player and songwriter for The Walkmen, has offered two delightful LPs since his band’s demise with Liberation! from 2014 and Mount Qaf from 2017. Here in the present, Bauer has prepped another new LP entitled Flowers slated for a release on September 23rd via Fortune Tellers Music. Prior to the full release, we’ve been given the sheer pleasure of dropping Bauer’s latest single “Miracles” for all you fans to consume and enjoy. The progression and production of this stellar tune is some of the best I’ve heard in quite some time. We’ve got the single along with a quote about the track from Peter after the jump.
