Stickers Share Second Single

stickersI’m trying to get my energy up for this weekend, so I feel like kicking things off with a bit of a rocker; it’s the newest single from Seattle’s Stickers.  There’s this pounding rhythm spurned forward by dissonant guitars, while the vocals have take on a haunting howl; this fits the darkened tale of “Sacajawea” that the band is putting forth.  The saxophone blast in the background serves as a warning to the listener, and possibly to the narrated character.  The group will be releasing their album, Swollen, on August 12th via End of Time Records, so expect nothing but the best.

Stickers Sign with End of Time Records

swollenSeattle’s got a great music scene, and while there’s tons of great labels (Hardly Art, Suicide Squeeze, etc), there’s a new one on the rise, End of Time Records.  The local label has just signed no-wave act, Stickers, and they’ll be releasing the band’s debut LP, Swollen, come August 12th.  Our first little sample is this darkly brooding track that erupts into a wall of dissonance, with the whole band keeping the rhythm section locked town in a propulsive manner.  It’s a sign of good things to come from the band, but grab it quick, as the LP will be limited to 500 copies.
