Bingo Boys Release Freak Out & Leave, Share Stuck

Sometimes you just need your hair blown back by a furiously paced track, and there aren’t a whole lot of bands doing it better than the Bingo Boys. They’ve just dropped Freak Out & Leave, drawing comparisons to bands like the Spits, likely owing to that darkly tinged punk that kicks the track into gear. While I’m on board with that, I appreciate how things open a slightly poppier feel as the vocals push the pace too, all the way to the howl just before the 1 minute mark. Quick and punchy, give the tune a listen then dive into the rest of the record!

Straight Banger From Stuck

Looking for some short and sweet rock music to brighten up your day and get you ready for the weekend? Well, then you need look no further than this new single “City of Police” from Chicago quartet Stuck. It is most definitely a song inspired by the post-punk genre but offers a hell of a lot more intensity and passion in it’s 2 minutes than most things I am currently hearing on the scene. I think you’ll dig it as well.;

Stuck will release a new EP entitled Content That Makes You Feel Good on August 13th via Exploding in Sound Records. Pre-orders are live now.

Kicking It with New Day Wave

12593504_468969969953751_163989100646231908_o-2I wonder if Day Wave will be able to continue on the back of all the buzz; I don’t want his music to be another Black Kids tragedy. But, I think at least in this incident, his singles, like the new one below, have all displayed a knack for being more than just one-hit wonders. You’ll hear a clear progression from some of the earlier lo-fi tendencies, maximizing the effects of the song’s melody, which ultimately is what brings us back to some tunes.
