Another Song from Little Mazarn

A little over two weeks away from the release of Little Mazarn‘s new album, and here she is with another chance for you to listen to her striking work. In listening, you’re bound to appreciate the care put into the song’s construction, with each note taking on a role of its own, matching the voice of Lindsey Verrill when necessary. There’s a lot of space within too, perfect for drifting in and out of the song’s consciousness (or your own). The LP drops on December 15th via Self Sabotage Records, ready to enchant even the most casual listener.

Free Weed Prep Album of Stoner Hits

rikkyRikky Gage is a busy man these days, be it running Gnar Tapes or working with The Memories and White Fang.  How then did he find the time to create this Free Weed album, featuring lo-fi bedroom recordings that perfectly fit in afternoon of waking and baking? But, just as the band’s name might reference a little drug usage, those who don’t actively partake will also find something delicious in the relaxed approach to crafting pop songs.  This tune plods along with a slight bounce and a really great melody that surfs its way throughout the track.  His debut album, Introducing, will be released on the 24th of February via Bad Diet Records.

Show Preview: The Coathangers @ Red 7 (7.26)

coatsThere seem to be a ton of shows going on this weekend, from local acts to travelers, but there’s none more exciting, to me, than the show with Atlanta’s The Coathangers.  They released their stellar album, Suck My Shirt, earlier this year, but if you didn’t catch them at SXSW this year, then you likely haven’t caught their incredible live set. They’re energetic and adorable, and they’ve got a killer set of songs to hit you with.  They’ll be joined by Feral Future and White Fang, who both deserve your attendance in their own right.  You can buy tickets to their show HERE, or just show up at the door to have the time of your life with these gals.
