Chapter Music to Release Brazen Hussies Score + More

Reckon we’d stick in Australia this morning with a nod to our friends over at Chapter Music who’ve just announced they’ll be releasing Brazen Hussies – Songs from the Film and More, come this November. This collection scratches the surface of women in the Australian music scene from the 70s and 80s, paying homage to culture that was “fiery and political, but also celebratory.” There’s a sample of tracks out there right now from, including remastered tunes from Hens Teeth and Glen Tomasetti, but I’ve really been enjoying the compilation opener by Toxic Shock. Honestly, I kind of wish this came out right now because I’d certainly be jamming to this one. Oh, and if you grab the compilation, it comes with a really cool PDF Booklet with notes from Women’s Music Historian Dr. Kathy Sport and Chapter Music’s Guy Blackman.
