Well I officially have a new favorite band from South Korea! I’m not sure how much competition they have exactly, but trust me when I say this new single from Seoul based ADOY is a jam. It’s called “Don’t Stop Me” and features some nice bits of bright pop and head nod inducing beats. How is this band not blowing it up right now stateside? Seriously. Stay tuned for more information on ADOY as they work on a debut album.

Bright Pop From Table People

Table People is a band from Seoul who make some very enticing and interesting pop music. This tune below, “Ride With Me”, is a prime example of the brand of simple, yet still bright and fun type of sound the band creates. Sort of like a Tokyo Police Club meets Los Campesinos! sound if you will…. I dig.

Dance Along To This Sweet Seoul Jam

With things heating up around town, it’s always nice to find some good tunes that will put a little shimmy in your day and today that source of shimmy comes from Montreal’s Seoul. This lush and dreamy track, “Real June,” has all the qualities of a new-wave/dream pop power combo track. The synths seem endless through the song, bringing a constant presence that coats everything in a cool warmth while the guitars jangle along gracefully. Then there are the vocals, which soar above it all, and when those “oohs” stream through your speakers you can’t help but groove along. I Become A Shade, their debut LP, is out June 9th via Grand Jury.
