ACL 2025: Know Before You Go
While I am still recovering from Levitation face-melting and processing photos for the galleries (stay tuned), another festival weekend looms on the horizon. Austin City Limits Festival 2025 is this weekend and next and brings a few people to Zilker park for a pleasant picnic and drum circle.
I want to share some resources and tips in case you have decided to join your friends that love Sabrina Carpenter soooo much. We have some nostalgia and a few new indie darlings to check out. Click through…
First time? Haven’t been in a while? Can’t remember last week? The ACL Fest website ihas gotten steadily better over the years, including a helpful guide of things to do before you walk in and your data plan fails massively. Head to this GUIDE. It will step you through registering your wristband, setting up your cashless payment and give you plenty of 411 to make your visit pleasant. There are going to be mobile beverage vendors this year, as well. Nice.
The “smaller” stages are getting upgrades this year, They’ll be bigger with new video screens and more lighting. Thefestival teams has added more shaded areas to help you get a break from the sun (forecast looks hot, but nowhere near as bad as last year) with more water stations (thanks Electrofit) for your refillable water bottles and more cooling areas with the big fans. Check the map out before walking in. You can plan your lunches, linners, dinners and snacks here. Download the app from your platform’s store and screenshot things, just in case.
Finally, some recommendations…
Friday: Panda Bear, King Princess, Empire of the Sun, Dr. Dog
Saturday: Next of Kin, Modest Mouse, Japanese Breakfast, The Strokes
Sunday: Hey, Nothing, Wet Leg, Passion Pit, The Killers
