The IT Department – v1.1
Going to be a quick one, preparations are in full swing for the annual pilgrimage to Town Lake …erm Lady Bird Lake, to listen to music by bands we already like while standing on the Great Lawn. The IT Department brings an exclusivish track from Fujiya & Miyagi, a new one from Toro Y Moi, mellowness from Geotic and pretty chilly track from The Parish of Little Clifton. Fujiya & Miyagi – Chichikov
Fujiya & Miyagi will be releasing a single track album. I will proudly admit that the last album from them was not my favorite of their releases, but this six minute slice of the thirty-seven minutes due to be available on iTunes soon come off well. I like.

Toro Y Moi – All Around
Next up is the second track from Toro Y Moi’s Freaking Out EP. Seems just months since Still Sound, a few tracks from it are still in heavy rotation here. “All Around” is the opener and available for the price of an email over at Mr. Bundick’s blogspot page. Smooth jam, all the way.

Geotic – Get Held
Geotic is Will Weisenfeld, aka Baths. It is the ambient, down tempo, guitar loop soundscape driven project where live shows are built on a looping pedal board and iPad. I’m posting this because of his recent opening spot for Dntel. Download all his stuff at his Angelfire page.

The Parish of Little Clifton – Echo Island
Finally, we close with The Parish of Little Clifton. “It’s Okay Roseanne” is available over at TPLC’s Soundcloud. It is so happy that only the wide unbroken spirit of a nineteen year old from Canada could put this together. However, I’m “spinning” the excellent track “Echo Island”. Beauty.

Jonti – Hornet’s Nest
Sent over yesterday, this one is from Jonti off of his forthcoming release Twirlgig. The album will be available October 18th. The guy has worked with many bigshots in Indie, the album is samples and synth, percussion and instruments, all blending. Here is the lead track.
