Have A Nice Weekend

10644280_10154566418645301_7516351349019480014_oNathan intro’ed you to Niagara in a post in June. Their album, Don’t Take It Personality, is now out. I went back to listen today and figured I would share this one.

So, y’all have a nice weekend. I’ll see you at Erasure or Sharon Van Etten/Allo Darlin’. Busy Saturday. Home tonight. Flank steak marinated in red wine garlic, thyme, oregano and olive oil, maybe some roasted leeks, I like to cook. #themoreyouknow

I Went To Three More Days Of ACL

Surviving ACL 2014On Monday, I was tired. The four days between ACL Weekends included a day of recovery, a full week’s work of the day job in three days and quite a bit of time editing photos. Then three more days of fun, jams and mud – and not necessarily in that order. But it was time for entertaining out of town guests, playing tour guide, eating the best festival food and navigating through the depths humanity with a soundtrack provided by festival bands.

Show Pics: Ramesh Release Party (9/18)

RameshA big thank you to all who braved the elements on Thursday night to come hang with us. The show had a feeling of family as everyone was a familiar face. Ramesh shared a few stories of roommates and eating bugs. We spilled beer, cleaned it up, danced quite a bit and I was on hand to get photographic evidence of two great sets, She Sir opening and Ramesh celebrating this great new record. All hail, The King.

Won’t you join in a photographic journey as we pretended to ignore the flood outside…

Another New Twilight Sad Track

Twilight SadThis time around, we are seeing the “sensitive side” of The Twilight Sad. It is softer, yet still challengingly dark track from Nobody Wants To Be Here And Nobody Wants To Leave called “Last January” which carries weight in vocals, softly ringing guitars and haunting synth woven in to the background. You can preorder the album now by clicking here.

The gents will be hitting the road in the fall with We Were Promised Jetpacks and they will be stopping in at The Mohawk. I will be there for sure.
