We mentioned recently that San Marcos amigos This Will Destroy You are currently working on a new album set for release later this summer. The guys are also about to kick start a massive tour and have a send off show planned for Thursday night at The Mohawk. St. Louis band The Life and Times and fellow Austinites Low Line Caller will be on hand to prep you for the headlining act. Trust me, you’ll want to see this band live before they start playing huge sold out venues in the future.

Free Golden Bear Show @ Emo’s (7/25)

Emo’s has a great local lineup planned for Saturday night and the whole thing is free! Golden Bear is headlining this event with Low Line Caller, The Always Already, New Roman Times, and Wine & Revolution all joining in the fun. Doors open up at 9pm and show starts at 10.

One couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful evening to watch music, as the cool breeze, rare for a summer evening, crept in upon those in attendance at The Mohawk this past Thursday. One of Sub Pop’s great bands, Helio Sequence, will be making their way to the stage at The Mohawk this Thursday night, in what is sure to be another beautiful set from the band. Last year’s Keep Your Eyes Ahead was one of the more quiet albums that grew as the year wore into it’s final season. They’ll be taking the stage with D*R*I* and Low Line Caller. Doors to the show open at 8 PM and you can purchase tickets by heading over to Transmission Entertainment.

French Kicks @ Mohawk 4/18

Many moons ago, we told you about the covers EP(get it on itunes) put out recently by NYC band French Kicks. Well now the guys are making a much anticipated stop in town at Mohawk on Saturday night. Tickets are on sale now for $10 or you can pay $12 at the door. Young Mammals out of Houston and locals Low Line Caller will be opening things up around 9pm.

Jason Chronis @ Mohawk (1/27)

Jason Chronis spends a good deal of his time in Austin band Voxtrot, but this Tuesday night he’ll be gettin’ down solo like at Mohawk. Jason will partner with other up and coming local acts Low Line Caller & Musse Mecanique. Tickets for the show will be sold at the door for $6 if you’re over 21 and $8 for you underage types. Doors open up at 10pm.
