Other Austin Weekend Highlights — for the Non-ACL folks
I know there’s tons of shows related to ACL this weekend, but maybe that’s not your thing, which is totally cool–to each his own right? I’ve got a couple of shows/events you should check out in case you’re not doing anything associated with ACL…Friday:
Austin City Locals is a great gig featuring tons of our friends like Whitman, The Sour Notes and Letting Up Despite Great Faults — The show starts at 8 PM and it’s free for ALL Ages.
Saturday:
Ditch the Fest 3: This is an event put on every year to get you away from the crowds — It’s $5 over at 29th Street Ballroom and begins at 5 PM — Acts include She Sir, Black Books, Calm Blue Sea, Les Rav and many more.
Our friends over at Rubberneck Magazine are releasing their 5th Issue — The event is sponsored by Dripping Springs Vodka and will include acts A Giant Dog and Quin Galavis — The event is at 801 Tillery Street (Tillery Park) and if you show up you’ll get your hands on a release party only cassette compilation.
