ACL Gimme 5 – Beaches

Happy ACL day part 2! For those of us, like me, who couldn’t get away to see much last weekend, today marks the beginning of 3 more music filled days. The weather should be fantastic and some new bands have been added to the already stacked weekend lineup. Today I am finishing off my Gimme 5 feature this year with Toronto based Beaches who play in a matter of hours. So hit the jump and check out their words and picks.

1. King Princess – “Prophet”

Ive been a huge fan of King Princess for a while now, I just think shes an incredibly bad ass, unique and individual artist who writes great songs. This one is particularly great.

2. Tame Impala – “The Less I Know the Better”

Im beyond excited to see this band play live again. Their light show is unreal and they always sound immaculate.

3. Kacey Musgraves – “Slow Burn”

Kacey is an absolute country goddess and queen. Her songwriting blows me away. Every song in this record is amazing but I love this one the most.

4. Idles – “Colossus”

Our producer showed us this band and their sound is just too fucking cool to not include them on this list.

5. Tierra Whack – “Hungry Hippo”

Coolest rapper right now. Absolutely genius album and visual content. Stellar!!! This song slaps.
