Welcome to Concrete Share New EP

At this time of year, things are really slowing down, and I expect a huge arbitrary set of “Best Of” to pop up any day…but me personally, I’m still focused on the new stuff, like this new EP from New Zealand’s Welcome to Concrete. There are some of your Oceanic tendencies, especially on a song like “Long Shot,” though I’ll admit I was drawn to the earnest alternative vibes of “Seeing.” In a sense, it kind of reminds me of a more melodic Sebadoh, flirting with the edges of grunge riffs while drawing upon some melancholic melodies.
