Weekly Roundup & Rundown
Pardon our dust. As you might have guessed, the ATH crew has been taking the week to sort of refocus and chill as we try to recover from that thing going down next week. I’m sure many of you have thoughts on the news for next year, as do we, but we’ll save that for another day. For now, here’s a quick rundown from a slew of great new tunes we’ve missed so far this week. Seems like a wealth of bands were holding on to some bangin’ new tracks for this week. Our old pals Mamalarky shared another new single from their upcoming album Hex Key. Find “Anhedonia” below and consider pre-ordering Hex Key, due out April 11th.
Get heavy if you like with new song “Glib Tongued” from Newcastle’s own Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs. This track is from new album Death Hilarious, which is due out on April 4th. Pre-orders are live now.
Australia has something to say with a new post-punk jam called “Chrome Dipped” from Levitation alumni Civic. This track is part of the new album of same name which is available for pre-order now from ATO Records. It’s out May 30th.
How about some SXSW buzz bands? Wishy released this new single “Over and Over” which comes from new album Paradise on Planet Popstar. That one is out on April 25th and of course pre-orders are live now.
Not to be outdone, fellow top festival band TVOD dropped new track “Pool House” this week. It’s the third single from their debut LP Party Time which is due out on May 9th via Mothland. Pre-orders are also live for that one now.
New Zealand checks in with the announcement yesterday of Ringlets sophomore album The Lord is My German Shepard (Time for Walkies). The news came with this jamming new track called “Heavenly Wheel” found below. You can also head here to pre-order the new album.
