One of our favorite hip-hop artists Aesop Rock is making his way to Mohawk on Friday night with some other hip-hop acts. Joining in on the events are Rob Sonic, DJ Big Wiz, and Starving Martyrs. Should be a solid night of hip-hop stylings in Austin.

Hip hop? On Austin Town Hall? Shocking! But seriously this guy is fantastic. Not so much with his last couple of releases but he has a life time pass for Labor Days and Float. The Daylight EP is one of my favorite releases ever!
Yeah it’s rare that we discuss hip hop but Aesop Rock is one of the greats.
I would also rarely ever tell anyone to go to a rap show because I am generally let down by them. This guy will not let you down.
I believe this show has been postponed due to the weather.
sucks that it got postponed, saw him last time at Emo’s, but was less than pleased with shitty sound, a shittier view of the stage, and constant jostling by sweaty 19 year olds. I was really looking forward to catching it tonight at Mohawk (even if it was “snowing”).
