Next week, we’ll finally get to hear the entirety of Carried Away, the brand new LP from Slack Times, and I think the band have chosen one great last single to entice you to dive into their record. For me, it’s a combination of the thumping rhythm section, matched by the swirls of crystalline guitar licks; it creates this energetic horizon, radiating with promise of better tomorrows. Then, of course, you just need a few moments to spend with the refrain of “I’m Trying” and you’re going to trip over yourself rushing to order this LP at your doorstep.
