Personally, I love when there are two distinctive musical narratives running through a track, working against each other, yet intertwining so seamlessly; it allows the duo to build this textured density that gives all of their work a heavy emotional weight. Lyrically, the track, with trading vocal roles, takes on the subject of admitting your faults in a relationship, though not quite embracing your own role, as you seek to escape your own shortcomings.
