Local Austin record label, Chicken Ranch Records, are offering up a 2 song Christmas EP to celebrate the holiday season. In support of the time of giving, the label is asking that you donate a little something with all proceeds being donated to the Austin Food Bank. You can download the 2 songs for free, but why not give a little bit to those in need?

New York outfit, Stellastarr, have a new song you can stream over on their myspace page. The song is called “Numbers” and is set to appear on a planned 2009 release from the band. Make it snappy, the new tuneage is only available this week.

Shortly after the release of her 2008 album, Acid Tongue, Jenny Lewis already has some new music for us to jam to. During the wee hours of the morning yesterday, Stereogum premiered a new song by Jenny called “Barking at the Moon”. The song is set to appear on the soundtrack for the new Disney animated film Bolt.
